Role Summary:
The Associate Principal Data Architect is responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of data architecture, including the design of data models, integration of systems, and ensuring data governance. This senior role involves leading data-related projects, providing technical guidance, fostering innovation, and collaborating with various stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust data solutions. In addition, the architect is tasked with maintaining documentation, optimizing system performance, ensuring compliance with regulations, and safeguarding data security, all while mentoring team members and advocating for best practices in data management across the organization.
Mandatory Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and database design. Experience with large-scale data warehousing and data lakes is essential.• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or in a related field where data sensitivity and compliance are critical.
• Proficient in SQL and NoSQL databases, data modeling tools, and familiarity with data integration and ETL tools. Knowledge of cloud-based data services and infrastructure is required.
• Experience with data governance, metadata management, data quality, and compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders and to translate business needs into architectural solutions.
• Ability to analyze complex data and system requirements and design comprehensive data architecture solutions.
Skill-set
・Data modeling & Database designs (e.g., relational, star schema, snowflake schema).・Data Warehouseing and ETL Tools (e.g., Amazon Redshift, RDS, DynanmoDB, AWS Glue, AWS Data Pipeline etc…)

Nice to have Experience
• Certifications in data architecture, data management (e.g., CDMP), or related cloud data services (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Google Professional Data Engineer).
• Proven experience leading and mentoring data architecture teams and managing large-scale and complex projects.
• Experience with the latest technologies in big data, machine learning, business intelligence, and real-time analytics.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools
• Strong understanding of business processes and strategic planning, with the ability to align data architecture with business objectives.
Skill-set
・Understanding of data governance related services (AWS Glue Data Catalog), data security and compliance protocols (GDPR, HIPAA etc…)
